Clay Boone Woodcarver Workshops

Adding to the ongoing group lessons available during spring and fall semesters, the table below provides dates for Clay Boone woodcarving workshops and seminars, their locations, project descriptions and fees, along with information about local interest and lodging.

Instruction includes: techniques in sharpening tools, painting, burning instead of sanding (a timesaving method), and an overview of using different woods. Wood and paint for the eagle are included in your fee. Tools will also be provided for use during the workshop, unless you prefer to bring and use your own.  Classes are a full 8 hour day with a 30 minute break for a lunch which is also provided.

A $100.00 deposit is required to reserve your spot and must be received two weeks before the workshop that you wish attend. If driving to the workshop, the Boone Studio is only 15 minutes from the Middletown, NY (Exit 4) off of Interstate 84. If flying, it is just 25 minutes from Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, NY. Rent a car or have us pick you up.

Sugar Loaf boasts three restaurants, many craft shops, a ski area very close, and a 700 seat Off-Broadway Theater. Bring your spouse! For more information on motels and other lodging, including a Bed & Breakfast right in Sugar Loaf, give us a call.
